Nestled in the picturesque Borgarfjordur Eystri, Blabjorg Resort combines a relaxing retreat with essential modern amenities, making it a reasonable choice for travelers. After a long hike through Stórurð, the inviting hot tubs provided much-needed relief from the region’s often-unpredictable weather. The shared kitchen facility was a welcome surprise, giving guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals. While the dining at the on-site restaurant carried a slight premium, it remains a worthy indulgence. Our breakfasts were notably diverse, featuring homemade jams and Skyr, which reflect local culinary traditions. Though the restaurant prices may raise eyebrows, exceptional meals and local beers add value to the experience. the comfortable, clean accommodations with communal bathrooms contributed to a satisfying stay without excessive luxury. Blabjorg Resort stands to offer both comfort and a genuine Icelandic experience, making it a commendable selection for eco-conscious travelers eager for a balance of relaxation and exploration.
